Austin Smith

My name is Austin and I am a masters student here at Emporia State University.

My current research is observing and documenting the effects Bighead and Silver Carp's invasion have had on the local food webs within the Kansas River. This falls within my broader research interests of native fishes and their conservation.

My name is Trevor and I am a masters student here at Emporia State University.

I am currently studying phenotypic plasticity and genetics of native planktivores in the Kansas River and documenting their response due to competition with invasive carp species impacting food availability . This research topic lines up with my broader research interest in conservation of native fish and their responses to anthropogenic and environmental stressors.

Caitlyn Reynolds

Undergraduate Research Student

As a zoology major at ESU, PAROC has provided me the opportunity to build experience in my field of interest in an accessible manner.

I'm combining my passions of art and animals by working to redesign enclosures to improve and enrich the lives of the resident ambassador animals.
